We take on a small number of custom projects outside of our own products. Here's what that looks like.
What we do for clients
We work best on projects that are small, clearly scoped, and technically interesting. We're not a generalist agency — we're an experienced developer who takes on a limited amount of client work each year.
Typical engagements involve one or more of the following:
- Improving or extending an existing mobile app or web system
- Building a small, well-defined custom tool or internal software
- Web app development — dashboards, internal tools, lightweight SaaS
- Backend work: APIs, integrations, infrastructure, automation
- Mobile app prototyping or lightweight development for iOS / Android
- A second pair of experienced eyes on a technical problem
Good fit
- You have a defined problem, not a vague idea
- The project is small enough to scope clearly
- You're looking for quality, not the lowest bid
- You're comfortable with async, remote work
- You need mobile, web, backend, or automation work
Not a good fit
- Large multi-year platform builds
- Replacing an agency mid-project without clear spec
- Projects requiring a full team or staff augmentation
- On-site or full-time arrangements
- Anything requiring 24/7 support contracts
Pricing
We work on a project basis — no fixed rate cards. If the scope is clear, we'll provide a straightforward quote. If it's not clear yet, we can start with a short paid scoping phase to figure out what's actually needed.
